Workshop Introduction
Experience the joy of transforming your own illustration or photo into a fluffy, tactile artwork.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will learn the complete tufting process — from preparing your design to using the tufting gun, gluing, trimming, and finishing your piece.
By the end, you’ll leave with a custom-made tapestry that reflects your personal style.
What Is Tufting?
Tufting is a modern textile art technique that uses a handheld tufting gun to punch yarn through a stretched fabric, creating soft, raised textures.
It allows you to “draw with yarn,” building shapes, colours and patterns quickly and expressively.
Originally used in carpet production, tufting has now become a popular creative hobby — perfect for making wall hangings, rugs, coasters, cushions, and personalised art pieces.
In this workshop, you will learn how to operate the tufting gun, follow your own design, and finish your piece so it’s ready to hang or display.
This workshop is ideal for:
- Anyone who wants to try tufting for the first time
- People who enjoy hands-on, calming, screen-free activities
- Couples or friends looking for a fun, creative experience
- Art lovers who want to turn their own drawing or photo into a textile piece
- Beginners — no craft experience required
